All Montana middle school principals are invited to nominate a 7th or 8th grade teacher who has done an exemplary job of teaching Montana history during the current school year (2011-2012) for the 23rd Annual Montana Statehood Centennial Bell Award honoring the Montana History Teacher of the Year.
The award is given during odd-numbered years to a 4th or 5th grade Montana History teacher and during even-numbered years to a 7th or 8th grade Montana History teacher.
To nominate a 7th or 8th grade Montana history teacher for the 2012 award, email Norma Ashby at email@example.com.

Nominations are due by March 23, 2012.
Nominees have until May 11, 2012 to submit their entries. They will receive instructions about materials to be submitted.
On November 8, 2012, the winning teacher and his or her class will be honored at a ceremony in the State Capitol in Helena, and the winner will receive a plaque and $1,250 toward library and classroom materials.
