LOCKWOOD - The Lockwood Fire Department and Hanser's Automotive & Wrecker are cleaning up the scene of an asphalt spill on Interstate-90 about ten miles east of Billings.
The spill happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday night and the Montana Highway Patrol says the truck was westbound on I-90 near Pryor Creek Road, when it went off the road and overturned.
Jarrod Glaze, 31, of Thermopolis, Wyoming was driving the truck, and amazingly only suffered minor injuries.
Glaze told troopers he was distracted by a deer and went off the road.
One westbound lane was blocked as of 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
The remaining asphalt in the tanker has been pumped out and is no longer leaking on the side of the road.
At this point authorities don't know how much asphalt spilled.
Glaze was cited for careless driving.
