BILLINGS - Fog was thick in the air, the trees were covered in frost, and ice was solid on Lake Elmo. It was Saturday, December 4th. Polar Bare Plunge Day in Billings.

It's an annual event to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Montana. This year more than 100 people looking to freeze their butts off participated in "the plunge."

Now, I'm not one to turn down a challenge, so when a few people suggested that I take part in the plunge, I quickly obliged.

Just two days before the big event, I joined the Townsquare Media team. The team included Jerry "Daisy Duke" Butler, "Livin' Large" Larry, and myself. And all of us were rookies when it came to jumping into frozen lakes.

To see us take the plunge... watch Q2 Sunday, December 12th for my next "Angela's Adventures."

In the meantime, although the plunge has already happened, it's not too late to help with this worthy cause.

Go to www.firstgiving.com/angeladouglas1 and YOU can make a difference this holiday season by making a donation ($1 or $100 - everything helps) to ensure the Special Olympics continue to thrive in Montana.

SOMT in Billings is hoping to raise $50,000 this year through the Polar Bare Plunge.
