HARRISON- Support for a Harrison woman injured in a house explosion continues to pour in.
Laura Lee Sheehan, suffered burns over 70% of her body and received other injuries, including multiple broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
A benefit fund has been set up at Stockman Bank and donations can be made at any branch. Donation jars are set up at Belgrade Lounge, Boxers Club 30 in Belgrade, Headwaters Veterinary Hospital in Three Forks and the Pony Bar.
Sheehan's Caring Bridge website says she is doing well and expected to undergo surgery on Friday.
"Laura Lee continues to heal, she is still in a ‘sedative' state. Not a medical coma, just heavily sedated with pain medication and the type of medication that is used in surgery. She can still shake her head yes or no and tries to talk around her intubation tube... Her condition is still Critical and at times Very Critical. However, for her injuries, she is doing very well," a post on the Caring Bridge website states.
Sheehan was injured when the Harrison home she rented exploded due to a propane leak. She was alone in the home when the blast happened.
