BILLINGS - A new robot at St. Vincent Healthcare could soon get a new name from one lucky kid in the Billings-area. St. Vincent Healthcare kicked off its "Name Our Robot" contest to get children involved in learning about health technology. St. Vincent wants students in grades first through sixth to propose a name, draw a picture of the robot and tell the hospital why they chose the particular name.
Just last month, St. Vincent Healthcare received the da Vinci surgical robot, which helps perform complex procedures through small openings with 3-D imaging. The robot will be used to assist on surgeries with children and other patients.
"They are our future surgeons, our future health care workers and to get interested and show them what this new technology is and get them interested in it is exciting," said Lana Feldman, St. Vincent Healthcare robotic coordinator.
Entries are due by April tenth and you can mail them to St. Vincent Healthcare Marketing. The student who wins the contest can earn a cash prize for their class and a class tour of the operating department or the child can get a hands-on experience with the newly named surgical robot.

How about naming it the Mechanical Money Maker
or the Three Armed Bandit
perhaps the Platinum Pick Pocket
or The Grand Imperial Bankrupter
