Sports Xtra: Friday and Saturday Matchups 9/14 - 9/15

Here is a preview of the local High School prep football scene:

Tonight at Daylis Stadium Billings Skyview (1-2) hosts their homecoming game against Great Falls High (1-2) at 7:30 p.m. Great Falls High started off 0-2, but last week they scored their first victory 47-33 over Kalispell Flathead. The Falcons rank second in Class AA in rushing averaging 269 yards per game. Tonight both teams are looking to even their season record.

Great Falls CMR (2-1) is at home tonight, hoping to upset the Billings Senior Broncs (2-1). CMR scored a close 28-27 OT win over Helena Capital last week. Billings Senior rolled out 594 yards in last week's 52-35 win over Missoula Sentinel. Nolan Saraceni of the Broncs' leads Class AA in rushing with 507 yards and 5 TD's. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Billings West (2-1) is hoping to bounce back on the road against Butte tonight. West suffered a 37-17 road loss to Bozeman last week. West might have to step up on defense after seeing Butte's 42-0 blowout over Missoula Hellgate last week. Someone to look out for is West's QB Ryan Gallogly who is averaging 237 passing yards per game. They face off tonight in Butte (2-1) at 7p.m.

Laurel is dominating this season as they are 3-0 right now. They rolled all over Belgrade last week in their 35-7 win. Helping the Locos on offense, is Byrce Herman who rushed 100 yards and scored 2 TD's last week. Butte Central (1-2) is looking at a tough match up against Laurel after their 52-6 loss to Billings Central last week. They play in Laurel tonight at 7p.m.

Tomorrow night is looking to be the biggest game of the regular season in Class A football. The Billings Central Rams (3-0) are at home facing the Dillon Beavers (1-0). The Rams are hoping to seek revenge from last season when the Beavers defeated them in the State A Championship game. Once again both teams find themselves ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the Class A media poll. Dillon had their season opener against Livingston cancelled due to lighting. They play tomorrow night in the Rams homecoming game Saturday, September 15 at Daylis Stadium at 7 p.m.
