HOLLAND LAKE - Search and rescue teams from Seeley Lake are working to reach a stranded snowmobiler who apparently spent most of the night in the backcountry.
Missoula County Sheriff's Department Captain Josh Clark says rescuers were called out around 9 a.m. Monday when the man was able to place an emergency call from his cell phone.
Full details aren't available yet, but Clark says it appears the man had been stranded near Holland Lake since around 2 a.m.
Clark says the man was traveling by himself and isn't injured. Searchers are working to reach the man and evacuate him from the area.
That area is crisscrossed with a series of groomed snowmobile trails and is a popular destination for riders this time of the year.
