Sidney's Frank, Livingston's Tokash win State A titles

ANACONDA - Sidney's Bobby Frank and Livingston's Christal Tokash took home the individual titles at the State A golf meet Saturday, while Belgrade's boys and Polson's girls claimed the team titles at the Old Works Golf Club.

Frank outlasted four golfers by a single shot to claim the boys title with a two-day score of 154. He shot 80 Saturday, six strokes worse than his opening 74. But teammate Paul Brannan, who Frank was tied with coming into the final round, only managed an 81. Brannan, Art Doorn (Whitefish), Caleb Stetzner (Anaconda), and Austin Powell (Belgrade) tied for second at 155.

Laurel's Dylan Meccage shot Saturday's low round with a 75.

Tokash tied Whitefish's Erin Tabish with a two-day total of 165, but beat Tabish in a playoff to earn the title. Laurel's Carlee Hart finished 4th at 171, while her teammate Morgan O'Neil finished 5th at 180.

Polson's Jaylin Kennedy, who led the event after a first round 80, finished 3rd with a two-day total of 170.
