Sheriff's office releases name of man killed by lightning in Pryors

RED LODGE, MT - The Carbon County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man killed by lightning in the Pryor Mountains, 12 miles east of Bridger, on Saturday.
Gary DeVries of Bridger died around 1:40 Saturday afternoon, according to Carbon County Deputy Jeff Schmalz.
Saturday, Sheriff Tom Reiger said deputies went into the mountains and brought the man's body back to the Bridger fire hall.
The Sheriff's office says the man was riding a horse and helping with a branding party.
The lightning also killed the horse.
