Seven robberies hit Billings businesses over seven days

BILLINGS - The Billings Police Department is in the midst of investigating multiple armed robberies this week.

The targets have been convenience stores, book stores, and fast food restaurants.

A total of seven Billings area businesses were the target of those armed robberies.

They began the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 4 with armed robberies at a Holiday Gas Station on King Avenue East and at a Town Pump on King Avenue West.

The two most recent robberies occurred within thirty minutes of each other Tuesday night at a Papa John's and Subway restaurant.

Other locations over the past week include convenience stores and book stores.

Police Chief Rich St. John said frequent robberies are not uncommon this time of year.

"We're counting on people to pay attention to their surroundings as we have always requested," St. John said. "If there is something suspicious, give us a call and hopefully we can find out who is doing this."

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues into all seven of these cases.

Due to suspect characteristics, some but not all of the robberies may be related.
