Search for MSU-Billings Chancellor underway

BILLINGS - The search is underway for the university's next chancellor. Last spring, former chancellor Dr. Ron Sexton retired after 15 years at the school. Board members say so far they have received applications from people across the country with a high level of academic experience.

"Internally what we're looking for is somebody who can really come in and help provide a new direction for MSUB and work with the various different faculty groups, staff, students on campus and just provide a nice fun environment to work in," said Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs.

Applications are due this Friday and the committee hopes to release their top candidates in a few weeks. Ultimately, the committee hopes to make their selection by October 28. Currently, Dr. Rolf Groseth, MSU Bozeman's VP of Intercampus Affairs, is the interim chancellor for MSU-Billings.
