BILLINGS - Former Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer is teaming up with the investment firm the Clinton Group to shake up Stillwater Mining Company.
Bloomberg News reports today that Schweitzer will be part of an eight person slate nominted by the Clinton group for the board of directors of Stillwater. In December the Clinton group called for the retirement of CEO Frank McAllister.
In the Bloomberg article Schweitzer is quoted as saying "The only board of directors that is doing worse is the U.S. Congress". Stillwater is scheduled to report fourth quarter results on Wednesday.
