Red Lodge physician, daughter in serious condition following crash

BILLINGS - A 40-year-old physician from Red Lodge and her her 3-year-old daughter remained in serious condition Thursday following a two-vehicle crash near Laurel.

The Montana Highway Patrol identified Deirdre McNamer as the woman who was injured Tuesday morning in a crash on Highway 212. McNamer is being treated at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.

McNamer's daughter, Zoe Kern, was transported to Children's Hospital Colorado. A hospital spokeswoman confirmed Thursday that the girl also was in serious condition.

McNamer and her daughter were injured when the Subaru driven by McNamer collided with a Dodge pickup truck at about 9:30 a.m. one mile south of Laurel.

The patrol did not identified the child, but Sgt. Scott Ayers said he believes the child has been transfered to a hospital in Denver.

The driver of the pickup was identified as Daniel Nisson, 19 of Idaho. He was not injured.

McNamer is a physician at the Mountain View Clinic in Red Lodge.
