BILLINGS - The American Red Cross of Montana is responding to the new Delphia wildfire in Musselshell County.
Friday evening Red Cross staff and volunteers opened up a shelter for evacuees from the Delphia wildfire at the Musselshell Community Center.
Red Cross volunteers and shelter supplies were deployed to the area.
At last report, between 40 to 50 individuals had been evacuated.
The new shelter, operated by a team of trained Red Cross volunteers, is located at the Musselshell Community Center, 100 Main Street, in Musselshell.
Anyone needing assistance can call 800-272-6668 and ask for the Red Cross Duty Officer.
"Red Cross trained volunteers are working around the clock to provide comfort, safety and hope for families and individuals impacted by this fire," said Red Cross spokesperson Diane Wright.
We are providing shelter, food and comfort kits with basic hygiene products including soap, shampoo, and toothpaste to anyone staying in our shelters," Wright said.
