Rafting accident prompts search near Big Timber

BIG TIMBER - Reports out of Sweet Grass County indicate that a search effort is underway for two men, believed missing following a rafting accident Thursday afternoon.

A landowner in the area tells Q2 News that a raft overturned in the Boulder River with three people on board. A woman who was on the raft was able to make it to shore and alert authorities. Two other rafters are reported missing.

We're told that the raft overturned in the Boulder River close to where it flows into the Yellowstone River.

No confirmation on the incident yet from Sweet Grass County officials.
