Yes, it's true we do have an Arctic Cold front coming our way and yes, it will cool us down. However, the nice thing about an Arctic cold front in autumn is that the coldest air of the season has not formed yet. There is still a little bit of sunlight up there so the coldest air is modified. That is to say, it mixes with warmer air and is not as cold. The same thing happens as the chunk of Arctic air moves into the lower 48 states.
We think that will happen on Sunday night, the cold Arctic Air will mix with our 40 something air on Sunday night and we'll see temps drop in the 20's and low 30's on Monday. We also expect some snow here too, maybe around an inch on Monday. The Lion's share of the Arctic Air will actually head into the Midwest. We'll probably get a glancing blow this time.
Billings Tonight. Mostly Cloudy and colder. Low: 34
Billings Tomorrow. Partly Sunny and Mild. High: 46
Billings Sunday. Partly Sunny and Warm Early. Snow moving in later. High: 49
