Q2 Weather: Snowiest winter on record so far

BILLINGS - We started tracking this year's snowfall a few weeks ago and started comparing it to the top ten snowiest winters on record. This winter started out ranked number seven in the top ten.

After Monday's snowfall of 1.4 inches, this winter in Billings is now ranked number one with 65 inches for the year so far.

These figures are year-to-date. The most snow we have ever received in any one year was 98.7 inches in 1996-97.

This year we are on track to eclipse that total, especially since we get a good portion of our snow in March and April.
