BILLINGS - The Q2 News crew is ready to bring you the latest election results and expert analysis on Election Night Tuesday, November 6th.
Our coverage will begin at 4:30 with a special one hour edition of the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley from New York. The Q2 News at 5:30 will set the table for one of the biggest election nights in Montana history.
Q2 news anchors Jay Kohn and Jeanelle Slade will check in with our Montana Televsion Network team covering campaigns across the state.
Q2 reporter Angela Douglas will be join us from the Denny Rehberg campaign headquarters in Billings.
MTN State Political Reporter Marnee Banks will be in Great Falls covering Jon Tester.
David Jay will be covering the House campaign of Kim Gillan in Billings.
Judy Slate will be in Bozeman covering Steve Daines.
The Governor candidates are in Helena. Phil Buck will be covering Steve Bullock and Melissa Anderson covers the Rick Hill campaign.
Q2 reporter Dustin Klemann will be at MetraPark to monitor the Yellowstone County vote count and the processing of ballots.
Drew Trafton will lead our online and social media coverage monitoring twitter and facebook for campaign story developments and interacting with our viewers.
We will be joined by our panel of experts Craig Wilson, MSUB Political Science professor, who will focus on our key races and state legislative makeup. John Morrison, former state auditor, will focus on the Democratic Party. Corey Stapleton, former state legislative leader, will focus on the Republican Party.

At 6 p.m. most of the polls will be closing in the east and we will continue with CBS Election Night coverage. Up until 10:00 p.m. at :25 and :55 past each hour the Q2 Election team will bring you news cut-ins with information just before the polls close. Shortly after 8pm we will bring you the first numbers from Yellowstone County and around the state. We expect to have a sizable vote count to begin with after the polls close due to the popularity of absentee voting. Up to 10 p.m. Q2 News will share the evening with CBS News bringing you vote counts and analysis.
Our News Ticker which covers the lower part of the screen with race results will begin to receive data from the Montana Secretary of States office shortly after 8pm. We will continue to crawl election results throughout the night and into Wednesday.
At 10pm Q2 News will present a full hour Election Night newscast with vote tally updates, reports from campaign headquarters around the state, and analysis from our panel of experts.
At 11 p.m. Q2 News will continue to broadcast in tandem with CBS. We will be targeting our coverage to the local or national scene, depending on results and campaign events.
If you decide to call it a night by midnight you can wake up to the latest information Wednesday on Montana This Morning.
