BILLINGS- The suspect of an armed robbery remains at large tonight in Billings.

According to the Billings Police Department, a man with a handgun robbed the Subway restaurant at 2499 King Avenue West at 9:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Sergeant Neil Lawrence says the man, described as being approximately 5'4'' and heavy set, walked in to the Subway and pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the lone employee.

The man then stole and undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled from the restaurant on foot.

Police believe the suspect headed east behind the Subway.

The employee was not injured and there were no customers inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery.

Police searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.

The suspect was last seen wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap.

His age and race were unknown.

Lawrence says the investigation into this robbery is ongoing.
