The Law Enforcement Torch Run's Polar Bear Plunge drew about 75 people, who jumped into a frozen Lake Elmo.

The plunge raises money for Special Olympics athletes.

Families, businesses, organizations, firefighters and law enforcement put together teams to help the athletes.

"Craziness, I don't know," said Steve Eubank, who jumped in the lake twice. "I love doing this event to see all the special events athletes and the look in their eyes of enjoying having this special event for them."

"Everybody here wants to raise funds for our athletes so they can train, so they can have equipment, so they can go to the state games," said Tina Hober, Regional Coordinator for the Law Enforcement Torch Run. "Every single one of these athletes, that's why they do it. It was fun I would do it again next year."

This year's Polar Bear Plunge raised at least 31-thousand dollars, about 10-thousand more than last year.
