One woman dead in car crash on Montana Secondary HWY 313

BILLINGS- A car crash in Big Horn County Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a woman from Lodge Grass.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 3:30 p.m., when a 1992 Dodge Colt failed to negotiate a
left turn on Montana Secondary Highway 313.

The car, carrying a driver and three passengers, skidded off the roadway and in to an embankment around mile marker 26.

Montana Highway Patrol says the driver of that Dodge, a 22-year-old woman from Lodge Grass, was dead when they arrived on the scene.

The other three passengers were injured in the crash.
Montana Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old and 26-year-old woman were both transported to Indian Health Services, while a 26-year-old Billings woman was flown to St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash.
