BILLINGS - No one was hurt during a shooting on Lewis Avenue last night.

The Billings Police Department announced this morning that they responded to a weapons complaint on the 400 block of Lewis Avenue at around 11 p.m. last night.

The BPD press release states that a witness reported hearing nine gunshots fired in the area area before a Subaru Outback was seen leaving.

Officers found several shell casings when they arrived, and they determined that a house on Lewis had been shot. They later located the Subaru on the 2600 block of Belknap Avenue.

Officers found one occupant in the car who was arrested on suspicion of DUI and parole violation. There was also a bullet hole in the hood of the car.

Police are still investigating the incident.
