BILLINGS - The Billings Police Department is searching for two men who assaulted two elderly nuns after breaking into their home.
The break in happened just before 3am Wednesday at a west end home on Gregory Dr. South.
After assaulting the nuns, the men took off with several items. Both women were taken to Saint Vincent Healthcare and treated for non life threatening injuries.
Billings Police Lieutenant Kevin Iffland said the assault was not sexual but the women did receive some lacerations, bruises and possibly some broken bones.
There are no suspects in custody at this time.
Due to a vague description given by one of the victims, detectives have few details about the suspects at this time.
The nuns are both with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.
