HELENA - It was one-stop shopping in Helena on Monday as state employees got their chance to check out Montana's non-profit organizations.

Eighty of the 460 non-profits eligible for state employee donations gathered in the Capitol for a "Non-Profit Fair."

The employees have the choice of donating to non-profits through a simple payroll deduction.

"Montana state employees are extraordinarily generous; last year the average gift size was $268, superbly generous," Beki Brandborg of Montana First Time Home Buyers noted.

The employees have been donating a total of around $500,000 each year for more than 20 years.
