New Montana Senate poll shows Rehberg with narrow lead

WASHINGTON - The latest poll is fresh off the press in Montana's U.S. Senate race, and heading into the final five months of the campaign challenger Denny Rehberg holds a razor thin edge over incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Tester.

The Rasmussen phone survey of 500 likely Montana voters was conducted on Monday of this week.

The survey shows Republican Congressman Rehberg favored by 49 percent of those surveyed, while Tester had 47 percent.

Two percent of those surveyed prefer some other candidate, while another two percent were not sure who they would support.

The poll carries a margin of error of plus/ or minus 4 and a half percent.
