New Billings federal courthouse opens

BILLINGS - The new Billings federal courthouse opened to the public Monday afternoon for an open house.

The new $80 million dollar facility is located in the heart of downtown Billings, and is home to three federal courtrooms, four judge's chambers, the U.S. Marshal's Service. the U.S. Attorney's office, U.S. Probation Office and General Services Administration.

The building will be formally dedicated Tuesday morning at a special ceremony at 10a.m.

The facility's design and construction from start to finish set a new benchmark for the fastest delivery of a modern federal courthouse.
