KALISPELL - A Kalispell woman is facing negligent homicide after reportedly causing an alcohol related car crash that killed her passenger.
Mindy Brist, 33, was driving on U.S. Highway 93 north of Somers last February when the crash happened.
The Montana Highway Patrol says Brist was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when she rolled her SUV that came to a rest on the passenger side. The car crash ended up killing passenger Timothy Attard
The Flathead County Attorney's Office filed the felony charge against Brist on July 13th and if convicted, she could spend up to 20 years in prison.
Brist's is scheduled to be back in court on August 2nd.
