MISSOULA - The Billings Mustangs are no longer alone atop the North Division standings in the Pioneer League.
On Monday night, the Ponies dropped their 3rd straight in Missoula allowing the Osprey to make up a 3 game deficit.
Billings was ahead 2-1 through 6, but Missoula's Jake Lamb cranked a two run bomb in the 7th to give the Osprey a 4-2 lead. Tack on an insurance run in the 8th and Missoula's Justin Thompson closing the door for his second save of the season with the Osprey winning by a final score of 5-2.
The 4 game series wraps up Tuesday in Missoula with sole possession of first place on the line as both teams will enter with identical 9-6 records.
