BILLINGS - Some little patients at St. Vincent Healthcare's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit had a special visitor Wednesday.

Musician James Hersch made his way from room to room as he played his guitar and sang to the kids.

Along with music, Hersch has a passion for community service. He's been touring the nation's health facilities for nearly 20 years playing for patients of all ages.

"That's what I found as a musician I wanted to do," Hersch explains. "To use my music in ways that I feel like I have actually mattered."

Hersch lives in Champlin, Minnesota and has been doing the outreach program for the past 18 years.

He visits about five hospitals each year.
