BILLINGS- Music is in the air this week as Q2 looks back on how one teacher used the 'One Class at a Time' award.
Q2 and First Interstate Bank presented Mrs. Elizabeth Weis' music classes at Independent School in Billings with $300 back in September to purchase new sheet music and drums.
The grant money enabled Mrs. Weis to start the school's first honors choir and also teach students more about a popular music genre.
"They love it. They are able to study rock and roll. They did a rock and roll unit in the fifth and sixth grade curriculum, and now they get to perform," Weis said.
Students are preparing for an upcoming honors choir performance.
