MISSOULA - Lynn Kurtz, a toxicologist who has worked at the Montana State Crime Lab for 25 years, is scheduled to appear in court next month after being arrested for DUI in June.
The Missoula County Sheriff's Office pulled Kurtz over for suspicion of DUI on June 25th.
This is Kurtz's first DUI charge and he appeared in Justice Court on Wednesday to face the charge.
The Montana Attorney General's Office oversees the crime lab and officials there tell us that Kurtz is continuing his work in the toxicology section of the lab.
The crime lab informed its accreditation agency of the incident and it's also notifying attorneys who have Kurtz testifying in their cases.
Kurtz's next court appearance is set for August 15th.
