BOZEMAN - Montana State football fans are clearly eager to become part of history in Thursday night's season-opener.

Reserved seating is sold out for the first-ever night game at Bobcat Stadium. There are still a few standing room only tickets available for Thursday's 7:05 p.m. kick-off against Chadron State.

The last three times Montana State opened its season with a home game, the Cats did so against a school from the Rocky Mountain Conference, to which MSU once belonged. Chadron State won its last trip to Bozeman, a 35-24 triumph in 2006 powered by current New England Patriot Danny Woodhead.

Conference coaches and media have picked Montana State as pre-season favorites to win this year's Big Sky championship.
