BILLINGS - MSU-Billings celebrates a landmark event Wednesday afternoon. There was a bit of branding involved for this re-branding celebration as those who attended were able to brand a horse-shoe onto a square block that can be displayed at the campus.

While some might think the change is just cosmetic or ornamental, the idea is more than just a simple name change.

School leaders said it's about expanding the best two-year educational experience.

"We wanted to have this renaming ceremony as a symbol of the fact that we really are working hard to expand the mission of our College of Technology into a more comprehensive Community College like mission, and to be offering a broader array of educational offerings to our citizens," stated MSU-B Chancellor Rolf Groseth.

All of the same popular programs will remain including: nursing, fire science, process plant technology, paramedics, auto body, diesel, and computer networking.
