BILLINGS - A motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 sent a Wyoming man to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
When Montana Highway Patrol arrived on scene, just west of Billings near the Shiloh Rd. exit, they found the motorcycle driver unconscious on the side of the road. Sgt. Buck O'Neil confirmed the man was breathing, but the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and sustained a head wound. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to a witness, the motorcycle was traveling at a normal rate of speed, but for an unknown reason it drifted to the left shoulder of the road causing the bike to collide with the guardrail.
Sgt. Buck O'Neil said the victim appeared to be in his early 30s.
The crash happened at around 3 p.m.
