BOZEMAN - Talk about an exit. An unidentified administrator of the Montana Office of Tourism Facebook page posted a comment, saying "F this job" on the tourism office's page that is spreading across the Internet.
The posting was promptly taken down, but not before several people commented on it, "liked" it and grabbed screenshots of it, which are now appearing on sites like Gawker, Reddit, FARK and others.
More than 150,000 people "like" the official page for the Montana Office of Tourism, which appears on Facebook just as "Montana."
The posting reads," F this job, I just want to live in Whitefish with my family and my future husband. Leaving Bozeman for good tomorrow...Thanks for the good times MercuryCSC!"
Several people posted remarks regarding the rogue comment. During one thread on its page, the Montana Office of Tourism responded to commenters, saying, "An employee of Montana's advertising agency made a mistake and posted a personal comment to our account, which wasn't intended for our page. We apologize for the error. To be clear, Montana still loves their job of attracting visitors to our beautiful state."
Meanwhile, the post seems to have attracted at least one new fan to the site who writes, "I have to admit, I came here because of the Whitefish post circulating around. Very nice pics though! I love all the mountain scenery!"
