HELENA - Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says a 5 year old boy who was hit by a motorhome near Helena on Sunday has been airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The child was reportedly taken to Seattle on Sunday evening, and is currently in the pediatric intensive care unit and listed in critical condition.
We will update you as we learn more.
(Sunday, 9:56 pm) A man near Helena reportedly backed over his young child with a motor home by accident on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2 p.m. at a private residence near Silver City.
We're told the father man hit the child with the RV on the passenger side.
The child was airlifted via Mercy Flight at about 3:30 pm to Benefis hospital in Great Falls.
Authorities say the child is alive but the extent of the child's injuries is unknown.
MHP also tells us no citations have been issued and it appears it was an accident.

(First Report, 4:53 pm) A five year old child has been injured after a motor home reportedly backed up over the child on Marysville Road on Sunday afternoon.
The child has been transported to Benefis hospital in Great Falls via Mercy Flight helicopter.
The nature and extent of the child's injuries are not yet known.
Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's officals and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating the incident.
