BILLINGS - The history and nostalgia of trains in America ran in downtown Billings today
The Yellowstone Valley Model Railway Club held it's bi-annual open house.
The replica trains depict various freight and passenger trains.
Club members try to re-create scenes around the country where trains travel.
"That's the only way that America got moving across the country was with trains," said Dale Matthaes."And it's just a history of America. It's great to see history and keep history alive. I mean trains are going to be here for a long time to come. They've been here for long time already and they're going to be here for even longer."
Matthaes invites people to take a look at the trains at other times besides the open house.
The Yellowstone Valley Model Railway Club is located in the basement of 2606 Montana Avenue, below what used to be the Wise Penny.
