Marines go shopping for Toys for Tots

BILLINGS - The U.S. Marine Corp continued it's preparations for Christmas in Billings by purchasing gifts for the "Toys for Tots" program.
Marines traditionally shop the day following Black Friday...after collecting donations for 24 straight hours.
This year the Marines have collected almost $4,000 in the Magic City.
Walmart donated another $1,000, .so for Saturday's shopping spree, the Marines bought $5,000 worth of gifts.
One of those Marine says he thought about his own son, while he bought presents for "Toys for Tots."
"To a little kid, it means the world," said Staff Sergeant Alonzo Miranda of the U.S. Marine Corp. "To me as a parent, it also means the world. To see my son very, very happy, by doing this, I'm able to help that happen."
"I've had to use the gift exchange to get gifts for my kids when they were small," said Brenda Blackman, a Walmart employee, who helped Staff Sergeant Miranda. "And it is important. Event one gift under the tree makes a big difference."
Saturday's was one of several events for the Toys for Tots program, leading up to Christmas.
