Man dies after shooting incident

PLENTYWOOD- A man is dead following a shooting near Plentywood in northeast Montana this weekend.

Ryan Havard, 27, died after Sheridan County Sheriff's Deputies attempted a traffic stop with a release from the Sheridan County Coroner's office says Havard fled from the officers and ran into the Blue Moon Night Club.

An altercation ensued in which shots were fired, although we do not yet know who fired the shots. The report says that Havard collapsed and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

The Montana Department of Justice is investigating the incident. We will update you as we learn more.
