GREAT FALLS - A man is facing several charges in connection with a meth lab bust in Great Falls on Monday night.
William Robert Smith is facing a felony charge of operation of unlawful clandestine laboratory, and misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass to property and criminal trespass to vehicle.
The incident happened on Monday night when police officers were called to a residence at 1604 7th Avenue South, part of the Great Falls Housing Authority.
When officers arrived, Smith ran out the back door. Smith had previously been banned from all Great Falls Housing Authority property.
Officers found Smith at a camper at 1701 9th Avenue South, where he was staying. Court documents state a search warrant was obtained, and officers found a meth lab inside the camper.
The owner of the camper told police that Smith did not have permission to be inside the camper, and asked that Smith be charged with trespass.
