This week's One Class at a Time grant presentation takes us to Lavina, where the award goes to help bring three science projects to life.

Mr. Kelly Hoover's third and fourth grade students plan to care for three different ecosystems. They include a fresh water pond - complete with fish and plant life, a desert-like environment with everything from cactus to lizards, and a tropical habitat with frogs and plants found in warm and humid places.

Hoover says he hopes students learn the importance of sustaining different environments and take notice of species in their own backyards. To nominate a deserving teacher, class or project for the Q-2 and First Interstate Bank One Class at a Time grant, log onto our website, ktvq.com.
