Laurel wrestler not just 'one of the boys'

LAUREL - Abi Gontarek is a girl in a boy's world.

There's no rule against girls joining the wrestling team - it just generally doesn't happen. But Gontarek is bucking that trend this year in Laurel for a variety of reasons, and after some initial hesitation, it didn't take long for her to become just another mat rat.
