NEW TOWN, ND - A Laurel man is accused of having sex with a minor while working as a counselor in Billings.
Brad Douglas Johnson, 36, was wanted on two counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent, according to Grand Forks Herald newspaper. He was arrested after Billings police contacted the U.S. Marshals Service for help in locating Johnson. An arrest warrant was issued on Jan. 16.
Johnson was working in the oilfield near New Town where he was arrested.
The alleged sexual contact occurred in 2013 while Johnson worked as a counselor at the Ted Lechner Regional Youth Services Center in Billings, the newspaper reported.
He is being held at the Mountrail County Jail in Stanley, North Dakota, awaiting extradition to Montana.
Johnson is held on a $50,000 bond, and he will likely not be extradited until Tuesday, Jan. 21.
