BILLINGS - Runners came together this morning for some fun and to collect Christmas presents for children.
Santa Clause served as the starter at the very first Jingle Bell Fun Run.
The entry fee for the 5-K or 1-mile race was a donation to Toys for Tots.
Many of the 150 runners did not wear the normal running attire...but dressed in Christmas costumes.
"We want it to become a fun event, that people could do with their friends, with their family," said Jenn Thompson, program director for Granite Health & Fitness. "We have several teams here today doing some silly costumes and we just want it to be a really joyous event. We have people jingling all the way down the course. We are so thankful to all of our volunteers and for everyone who decided to come out to donate to toys for tots. We just feel lucky to be a part of this event."
Thompson says Granite Health & Fitness wants to make the Jingle Bell Fun Run...an annual event.
