Homes evacuated in Lockwood after gas line break

Lockwood Gas Line Break

LOCKWOOD - Several homes in Lockwood were evacuated after a gas line break Wednesday morning.

A contractor doing construction on a house, located at 909 Edgehill Vista Drive, struck the gas line shortly before 10:30 a.m.

Lockwood firefighters evacuated six homes in the immediate area.

The Lockwood Fire Department remained on scene, monitoring gas levels until Montana-Dakota Utilities arrived on scene.

MDU has shut off the gas and is repairing the line

No injuries were reported.
