BILLINGS - A tradition in Billings brings Christmas joy to the homeless and others who may be facing challenges.
The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority hosts the annual lunch and party at the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
About 200 came out for the meal and gifts.
Donations and volunteers make the party a success.
"We love to help," said Bitsy Merchant, president of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the host of the party. "They're in that position. We're in a position to help. I just think that's our given Christian duty to do that. It's just the spirit of giving and what christmas is all about."
"One family like god wants," said Katharine Roberts, who attended the party. "It means a lot to me because I know they care and they think of other people besides themselves. And that's what christmas is all about cause jesus does that for us."
St. Vincent De Paul will give away more gifts next week before Christmas.
