MISSOULA - Republican Candidate for Governor Rick Hill pushed the topic of economic prosperity on the last day of the GOP convention.
Hill said revenue from the natural resources in Montana could be used to boost the economy and Montanan's across the state could feel some tax relief.
He also said this revenue could be used to improve the education system, focusing on students and more freedom in schools.
Hill added using the benefits from natural resource income is only the beginning.
"If we can move this to the main stream, use our natural resource income to broadening our tax brace and lower the taxes for most Montanans, we can unleash economic prosperity in the state," he said.
Hill also said people need to be able to hold the government accountable.
