HELENA- Rossiter Elementary School has been burglarized three times over the past few weeks and law enforcement officials believe the people responsible for the break-ins may be the same culprits who stole from area homes.
Thieves broke into Rossiter on Sierra Road by throwing a large rock through a faculty window and once inside, the suspects broke into the school vault and stole money.
"Suspects are going through the school and have breached the security locking mechanism of a vault at the school in the main office. Items taken from there range from $10 to $15; from the vault up to $400," Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Department Captain Jason Grimmis noted.
He added the damage to repair the building and replace the property was costly. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office.
