HELENA - Carroll College football coach Mike Van Diest has announced that Dylan Simac has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Fighting Saints.

"I am very excited to have Dylan join our football team," said Van Diest. "He is one of the top athletes in the Rocky Mountain Region. I have been watching Dylan since his freshman year at Helena High when he was catching passes from Clay (Van Diest).

The Helena High receiver had originally committed to the University of Montana, but will stay in his hometown to compete at Carroll. Simac was named All-State the past two seasons for Coach Tony Arntson, as well as honored with the co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Western AA. He is a 4-year letter earner in basketball, 3-year starter in football and also lettered in track and field. He competed in the Mon-Dak Football game earlier this summer and recently participated in the prestigious East-West Shrine Game in Great Falls.

"Dylan is without a doubt is one of the premier athletes to ever come out of Helena," Van Diest added. "We become a better football team today with the signing of Dylan Simac."

Simac will report to fall camp on August 2nd with the rest of his Fighting Saints teammates.

Carroll College recently captured their 12th consecutive Frontier Conference Championship and earned runner-up honors with a 13-2 overall record.
