Drought conditions and wildfires have hit the agricultural industry in Montana, and the effects can be felt in many ways, including the loss of of hay.
The Montana Department of Agriculture has now added a wildfire related category to its website for ranchers to communicate with others who wish to donate hay or temporary pasture lands to those who have fire related forage loss.
With many parts of Montana already facing drought, there may be other ways for ranchers in the future to gain some relief.
For more information, call 406-444-4202 or visit the Hay Hotline website.
